I am a big believer in signs that help guide you in life. There are so many signs in nature and it’s probably why I love living on a farm because I get to experience that connection on a daily basis. Like whenever I see a cardinal outside our window, I always feel like that’s a visitor from Heaven, just checking in on us! It always brings a warmth to my heart. It’s been fun to share that thought with our kids and how expressive they get when a cardinal comes for a visit on the farm!
Lately, I have noticed a bald eagle that has been visiting our place and I just feel like he is a sign to me personally. We’ve seen him perched on trees in the grove, swooping up our lane, perched in the corn stalks and this weekend, he spent some time in our lawn (chewing on a dead animal that our dogs drug up – yuck)! But he fascinates me and I notice him a few times a week. So, naturally, I had to Google what it means to have an eagle visit and it’s was kind of neat to read about. Here are the main points I found:
- The eagle conveys the powers and messages of the spirit (God, in my case), it is man’s connection to the divine because it flies higher than any other bird. If an eagle has appeared, it bestows freedom and courage to look ahead.
- The eagle shows that you will fly high above adversities and will pull through a pressing and current situation that seems to have you bothered. The eagle appears to you as a sign of victory.
- Eagles have feet with four toes. Four is a symbol for having a solid foundation and being grounded. Even though an eagle can soar to great heights, they are still strongly connected to the earth.
I find this so interesting and really uplifting! Maybe I am just so hungry for spring that I am really paying attention to any movement outside, but I have noticed him in my path so much lately that I had to start looking into it a bit more. It gave me a unique perspective to think about some items related to myself & my business.
I encourage you to take the time to pay attention to signs in nature around you. If you see something interesting, unique or that keeps showing up, it might be worth checking into it a bit more and giving it some thought as to how it applies to your life. Things happen for a reason and sometimes you just need to slow down, look around and observe nature around you.
Please note: While I know this post isn’t necessarily marketing related, I sometimes find that I just like to write. I feel like it’s a gift that God gave me to express myself through thoughts & words. It’s actually much of what I do on a daily basis for clients – copywriting – and I really enjoy it!
